PASSION FOR DANCE

Since 1988 Charleston Ballet Theatre Center for Dance Education has hosted its distinctive summer course with students from across the United States, Europe and Japan. The dedicated faculty has been privileged to help train aspiring young dancers who have then been accepted into exceptional institutions and professional companies. Resident Faculty and distinguished Guest Artists will offer multiple daily classes with concentrations in ballet, pointe, variations, and choreography composition.

The comprehensive program with one-on-one attention and small classes, is designed for intermediate and advanced pre-professional dancers age 11-19  The goal of all classes is to offer the highest level of professional training while encouraging each student's individual development, artistry and self confidence.

CHARLESTON SOUTH CAROLINA

Recently voted the #1 tourist destination in the USA, Charleston is the cultural and most historic city of the South. Filled with unique shops, famous restaurants, galleries, and a vibrant outdoor market where artisans display and sell their art. Charleston Ballet Theatre's studios are just minutes away from the gorgeous beaches of Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island. Weekends are filled with organized and chaperoned activities that allow the dancers to experience the charm of Charleston.

CBT offers supervised housing which includes daily transportation to the studios and weekend excursions. A meal plan is provided where the students dine in or out with their chaperones each evening .
